Name: Robin Bowkett
Focus: Varsity Head Coach

Robin Bowkett '01 begins his first year as head football coach at Souhegan High School and entering his 12th year coaching at either the high school or college level. No stranger to the Amherst-Mont Vernon community, Coach Bowkett was a captain and two year starter at quarterback for the Sabers and graduating from Souhegan in 2001.

Coach Bowkett comes back to the community after five years as the head football coach at Lake Forest Academy (IL), a boarding school north of Chicago and working in the admission office. His team played in the competitive Chicago Catholic League and had an offensive or defensive player of the year in the league every year he was there. Bowkett helped 18 players move on to play college football including 3 FBS and 5 FCS players. Bowkett was also an assistant baseball, boys and girls lacrosse coach.  

Prior to LFA, Bowkett coached the wide receivers at Saint Anselm College for a year and half. While at Saint A's, he helped coach Marc Wilson earn First Team All-NE 10 and was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as a undrafted free agent. Bowkett coached at Salve Regina for 4 years in Newport, RI where he coached the wide receivers and running backs and held both passgame and rungame coordinator titles. Bowkett started his college coaching career where he played at Nichols College. He coached the running backs there after graduating in 2006 with a History degree having played quarterback and defensive back. 

Coach Bowkett will be moving to the area in June with his wife Beth and two daughters Stella (4) and Nora (2). Beth is also a Souhegan '01 alum where she played soccer and ran track. She helped win 4 straight girls soccer state titles for the Sabers. 

Name: Mike Beliveau
Focus: Assistant Head Coach WR/DB

Mike grew up in Saugus Mass and played football, basketball, and baseball for Saugus High School. He then went on to play college baseball at Bridgewater State University.

Mike has been a Wellness teacher at Souhegan High School since the school opened in 1992. He was the Souhegan Head Football coach for 18 seasons. (1995-2012). His teams reached the State Championship game 10 seasons, winning championships in 2004, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Mike was elected Nashua Telegraph “coach of the year” in each of those seasons. Mike coached the New Hampshire Shrine team in 2000 and 2012. The 2012 team scored a Shrine game record 62 points. He helped pave the way for players to play college football at the Div. 1, D1AA, D2, and D3 level. The last 4 years Mike has coached football at Con Val and Memorial high schools as an assistant.  Mike also is an assistant varsity baseball coach at Souhegan. The Sabers baseball team has been to the State Championship game the last two years, winning the title in 2016.

Mike lives in Amherst with his wife Sue. His three kids are all Souhegan graduates Andrew (2008), Jessica (2010), and Tim (2012). Andrew and Tim both played Football, Basketball, and Baseball for the Sabers.

Name: JT Anderson
Focus: Defensive Coordinator OL/DL

JT Anderson joins the Souhegan staff in 2016 as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator, QB coach and DB coach. Coach Anderson has nearly a decade of coaching experience at the High School level in New Hampshire. He was an assistant varsity coach at Manchester Memorial, and prior to that was the QB coach and Offensive Coordinator at Souhegan from 2008 to 2012. JT was part of a Souhegan program that won 3 straight NHIAA Division III championships. He currently lives in Nashua with his wife.

Name: Chris McCarthy
Focus: Head Strength Coach RB/ILB

Coach McCarthy is a Sabers Football alumni who had spent time volunteering to help the local Amherst Patriots youth football organization prior to joining the high school staff in 2014. Coach McCarthy's primary focus is working with Running Backs and Defensive Backs. He is also the lead coach in the Sabers off-season strength program.

Name: Scott Prescott
Focus: Special Teams Coordinator WR/ILB

Coach Prescott has over 20 years of coaching experience at the High School and youth football levels. He is a long-time football assistant at Souhegan, including having been a key staff member for all 4 Souhegan NHIAA Football State Championships, and was an active volunteer coach in the Amherst Patriots organization as well. Scott is the Director of Instruction at the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School, and has had two sons (Aaron and Drew) who were stand-out players for the Sabers. Scott lives with his family in Amherst.
